The role of a financial planner is to ensure clients are advised holistically in all areas of their financial plans in order to meet their life goals. The aim is to build a financial strategy to meet a client's objectives. The first step is finding out what clients really want to achieve and then formulate a plan which will assist them, considering remuneration strategies or retirement income planning, advising on investments or savings strategies as well as looking at any potential risks and how these can be mitigated.

You may also need to travel to other Mazars regional offices for training purposes while you build your understanding of client affairs in preparation for managing your own portfolio.
For your final two years of your training you will Study and complete your advanced financial planning qualifications whilst striving to build your skillset in order to be a financial planner at Mazars in your own right. You will be expected to take responsibility for creation and presentation of client solutions whilst ensuring that we keep to stated deadlines providing the best client service in a compliant manner.
You will also commence your business development strategy in order to grow your footprint in your region. Please note there is a final internal assessment at the end of year 4 which is required in order to meet our regulatory Training and Competency Scheme requirements to move into the role as a Financial Planner.
Strong academic performance is important; however, we understand that things don't always go to plan. Most importantly, we give our people the tools and support they need to define their own career path and realise their full potential. This includes funding, time off to study, attend college and complete online courses. We will fund you towards the CII qualification.
