Cyber and Information Security teams help protect the NDA group’s digital assets, systems and information from threats and vulnerabilities. They support risk management, security operations, incident response, governance, compliance and the development of secure technology solutions. These professionals ensure that we can proactively and collectively protect ourselves, detect cyber incidents early and have mature response and recovery plans to minimise disruption to our core mission of nuclear clean-up and environmental restoration.
Working in a highly regulated and safety-critical environment, these professionals help ensure cyber security is embedded into technology, processes and decision-making, enabling the continued delivery of the NDA group's mission.
As a Cyber Security Graduate, you will help protect the systems, technology and information that support one of the UK's most important environmental and national infrastructure missions.
Cyber security plays a critical role in ensuring the NDA group can operate safely, securely and effectively. Working within a complex and highly regulated environment, you will gain insight into the challenges of protecting organisations that operate across multiple sites, technologies and business functions.
Through your placements, you could gain exposure to areas such as cyber risk management, information assurance, security operations, governance, compliance, security architecture, incident response, cyber resilience and security awareness. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop an understanding of how cyber security is embedded within technology, processes and decision-making.
You may contribute to activities such as supporting risk assessments, investigating security incidents, strengthening security controls, analysing emerging threats and improving organisational resilience. Through this experience, you will see how effective cyber security helps protect critical systems and services while enabling business objectives to be achieved safely and securely.
As part of this pathway, you will undertake the DVMS Cyber Resilience Professional Foundation and the BCS Certificate in Information Security Management Principles, helping you build the technical knowledge and professional skills needed for a career in cyber security.
This pathway would suit individuals who are curious about technology, enjoy analytical thinking and are motivated by solving complex problems in a constantly evolving environment.
Whether your interests lie in cyber defence, security operations, governance, risk management or resilience, this pathway will provide valuable experience protecting critical national infrastructure and supporting a mission of national importance.
Various UK Locations
The NDA group operates from more than 30 sites and office locations across England, Scotland and Wales. Applicants must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate to any of our sites to support business requirements and development opportunities across the programme.
Support is available to help graduates relocate where required.
Any offers will be conditional upon you providing proof of your right to work and passing security clearance and vetting checks.
Throughout your two-year journey on the NDA group graduates programme, you will be employed by Energus and complete two 12-month secondments within the NDA group.
At the end of the programme, we will support you to secure a role within the NDA group or within the wider nuclear sector, helping you take the next step in your career.

Face-to-face assessment centres will take place in early 2027. If you are invited to an assessment centre and are unable to attend, unfortunately you may be unable to complete the selection process.
