About the role

Ready to head into the world of work? A Traineeship could be your ideal start to the next phase of your career. You’ll learn about the job, on the job, whilst we support you through further studies, so you’ll gain qualifications as well as work experience and skills. As a Trainee Digital Construction Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce relevant BIM & project protocols and execution plans.
  • Identify project BIM resource requirements
  • Cross checking model information against the Employer Information Requirements (EIR).
  • Generation of spatial co-ordination tests (Clash detection) at agreed milestones, rationalising and production of reports indicating the issues to be coordinated.
  • Chair BIM coordination meetings, guiding the design team through the issues found and recording the resolutions agreed.
  • Support design managers with model reviews.
  • Support planners with the development of 4D simulations.
  • Support bid, commercial and design managers with extraction of model quantification data

This role will be subject to pre-employment screening, including references. The level of screening may vary depending on role responsibilities and will be discussed at interview.

  • Bsc (Hons) (or currently working towards or prepared to)
  • National 5 or GCSE equivalent
  • Complimentary relevant experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Methodical approach
  • Numerate
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Willingness to learn

About you

As a Trainee Digital Construction Manager we understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in the construction industry. Experience within this sector would be great however if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communications skills this could be the role for you. We will support you through your Traineeship to develop and progress in your chosen career path.
