From day one I felt welcomed, and I received the support that I needed in this journey of development and professional growth. In November 2024 I received the employee of the month award in Procurement. I was flattered to receive this recognition especially because it came from my peers.
I think the brand identity is one of a kind. It’s a small company compared with others into automotive industry. Because of that it's more personal as a business, with a real exposure to different projects and opportunities to work on transversal – this can be unique and hard to find somewhere else. I have been given lots of responsibility in the short time I have had here and got the support I needed to continue to develop at Aston Martin.
I have always been interested in luxury cars, and I knew Aston Martin was one of the most prestigious brands, an icon in the British and worldwide automotive industry. Also, when I saw that Aston Martin came back into F1, it made me really want to get involved and extended my love for the brand even more!
My long-term goal is to stay in Procurement and find myself a role at Aston Martin. I got the chance to rotate to different departments during my apprenticeship, gaining exposure to different areas in both Procurement and the large business. I always felt supported by managers and colleagues, which increased my confidence and desire to succeed.
Just be confident in yourself, consider what you want to do with your career, make a plan and ask questions if you are unsure. Every new experience can come with its challenges, but everyone here is friendly, supportive and willing to guide you during this amazing journey.
