As a graduate I have the chance to explore a little of all areas, developing my skills and knowledge to be able to offer my help when needed, as well as having the opportunity to participate in the Graduate programme for my professional growth, meeting people from other plants around the world.
What makes me proud is to be part of the ‘Yours To Shape’ programme, as it is how Kingspan starts to develop the next potential leaders in the company.
The most useful qualities are adaptability to change and new beginnings, teamwork, honesty and growth potential.
The best professional advice I have received, and which I understand better with time is: if a person does not know something, teach him or her, if the person cannot do something, develop him or her. Also, in business, to make decisions with what the mind thinks, not with what the heart feels.
I think it is important to start with an open mind, to acquire new learning, to know a little about all the different areas of the company in order to understand more about what Kingspan encompasses.
The personal skills growth of the people working there, as well as the growth of the company itself, thanks to the investment in training that is given to each employee and operator.
