This small project presented difficulties due to level changes and difficult ground conditions requiring careful consideration of retaining solutions. Although detailed in 2D by the Architect Betts built a 3D model using Revit to better deal with this deceptively difficult building. |

Manufacturing Facility, Northwich - Phase 1This was a steel-framed manufacturing facility designed for future extension. Our services included soils investigation, roads and drainage design and the structural design of the steel frame and foundations. The frame design included allowance for runway beams and for boundary conditions. Foundations were reinforced and cast on vibro treated ground. |

Long Moss Lane, New LongtonWe were commissioned to prepare a Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Management Strategy for the above site for a planning application for 27 residential dwellings. During the initial investigation phase of works it became clear that there were existing Surface Water flood risk issues to both the proposed development area and existing nearby dwellings. |

SilverdaleThis was a proposed residential development requiring planning under ‘exceptional circumstances’ as the site was designated Green Belt despite being far from green! Our work included Desk Study – identifying landfill, colliery spoil heap (on fire), coal shafts, former disused railway tunnel and former tile works, extensive gas monitoring due to adjacent recent landfill and much more. |
