We provide the full end-to-end change support for our clients whether they want to improve their finance technology solutions and the processes behind them, upgrade to cloud solutions, or change from one finance software provider to another. This might include gathering requirements, evaluating and selecting the right software partner, designing processes or Chart of Accounts, implementing new finance systems, supporting culture change, integrating with other systems, or providing on-going administration and technical ERP support.

Summary of Role

This is a client facing role, and as a Graduate Consultant you will require flexibility, drive, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn. Day to day, you’ll work as part of our growing consulting delivery team, learning and practicing a wide variety of both technical and people consultancy skills. As a small firm, this means you’ll be able to get stuck into client project work straight away and be fully supported and guided by our team.

Our intention is to train you as a Consultant of the future focusing on your:

  • Client meeting and workshop management skills
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Report writing and analysis

You will be a forward thinking, diligent, conscientious and solutions orientated individual with a love of finance and data, financial analysis and reporting. A general interest in finance technology and systems development is also useful.

Responsibilities

Typical client-facing activities might include:

As a Graduate Consultant you will be working as part of a project team implementing finance solutions for a range of clients across the UK. This is a broad role and your work may include the following activities:

  • Designing the structure of future business records
  • Financial data and project analysis
  • Considering the implications of key finance system settings
  • Testing finance systems operate correctly – planning tests, executing tests, documenting results
  • Creating new systems reports using the latest technology, such as MS Power Platform
  • Building links to other systems – extracting data, transforming data, translating codes, loading to new system and reconciling to source
  • Applying these linking techniques to move data from the old legacy system to the new system
  • Building and delivering training material, personally creating videos, delivering webinars and workshops in time
  • Over time you will be required to become certified in a specific finance system or gain a formal finance qualification as part of your career development

Skills & Experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Finance and Accounting, Technology, Science, Engineering, Maths related degrees would be preferred with a minimum 2:1

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem
  • Data analytics
  • User training
  • Systems administration of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution

Learning & Development at Moore Insight

We are a training organisation. We will support you in your learning journey with a tailored and bespoke learning and development programme. We want to support new graduates obtain professional business qualifications in areas such as accountancy (CIMA Apprenticeship), Project Management, Data and Information Technology combined with professional Consultancy Skills accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management. We incorporate this supported study into your objectives and work programme to help you achieve your longer-term career goals.

In addition you will also be trained on a wide variety of softer consulting skills though our monthly “Essential Skills” training schedule and Moore Ambition (Future Leaders Programme) to ensure your success and ongoing development.

You will also have weekly 1-2-1s with your Line Manager and Quarterly Appraisal reviews and support and coaching from the wider Consulting team that will assist you with your development journey.
