We have an opportunity for a 12 month HR internship working in a dynamic environment and develop the key skills needed to grow within the Aerospace industry. This role will dedicate time to both general HR administration and Project support.
Working closely with the HR team, this offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge of the full employment life cycle whilst enhancing project management skills.
Description of key elements to be achieved:
Generate contracts and changes to terms of employment
Support the onboarding and off-boarding administration for employees
New Starter and Induction onboarding
Respond to Reference requests and general queries in a timely manner
Issue talent assessments to support the decision-making process
Keep recruitment tracker accurate and up to date at each stage
Liaise with recruiters and hiring managers to schedule interviews
Support the development of the project timelines and activities
Capture actions from various project meetings and monitor progress
Participate in project meetings to report on progress
Produce project documentation including PowerPoint presentations
Coordinate meetings and materials for the project group
Support the risk and issue management of the project
Person Specification:
Must be enrolled in an accredited residential college/university.
Student must have successfully completed first year prior to intern assignment.
Student must be pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business management, hard sciences, (chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science), along with a keen interest in Human Resources.
Will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to approach problem solving and find solutions.
Will be able to work with minimal supervision and be client focussed.
Must be able to communicate and interact with all levels and possess a positive “CAN DO ATTITUDE”.
Key Skills & Knowledge on completion of placement:
Participated fully as a team member and contributed to the improved performance of the team.
Successfully supported the change programme to enable delivery against our objectives
Knowledge of the Organisations HR Systems – Workday, ADP.
Add real value to the team in improving our service to the business
Ownership of key projects to develop confidence and the opportunity to prove communications, management, and leadership skills to complete tasks to the standard and committed timescales
