About this Role

For this specific role, you will be working alongside our highly experienced Manufacturing Engineering team. During the placement you will be able to get involved in projects designed to improve health and safety, productivity and Handling Solutions.

You'll get the chance to work with AETC's latest investments, familiarising yourself with 3D printing solutions that help with plant improvements as well as other automation projects and robot programming. Part of the role will include developing jigs, fixtures and tooling in CAD. You'll have the opportunity to improve the daily operational metrics of our business and put lean manufacturing methods to practice.

You'll also deal with contractors and suppliers, prepare effective business case documentation to justify further capital expenditure. This role will really allow you to demonstrate significant savings for the business and gain the expertise necessary to progress within this global industry.

About You

Essentials

  • Studying for a relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aeronautical) with a strong predicted grade (2.1 or above)
  • Well developed problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge ways of thinking
  • Keen interest in manufacturing
  • Well motivated, self starter with drive and enthusiasm
  • Excellent attention to detail and produce quality work within set timeframes
  • Structured, method driven approach to all work tasks
  • Strong desire to achieve results
  • Strong IT Skills

  • £24,800 Per Annum Salary
  • 38 hour working week
  • This opportunity is at our Leeds Site
