Where will you be working?

At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

Activities you may be involved in include:

  • CAD design work
  • Drafting scheme documents
  • Prepare technical drawings
  • Familiarise and work across supporting teams
  • Assist and support in site inspections, surveys and setting out activities
  • Support and assist the planning, delivery and supervision of civil engineering works on water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Liaison with local and public authorities
  • Ensure all work aligns with company health, safety, environmental and quality policies

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will enrol onto the Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree (Design) Apprenticeship, with one of our partner universities.

Over 5 years, you will work towards a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering, as well as working towards becoming qualified as an Incorporated Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As a Degree Apprentice you will be recruited on a permanent contract and after completing your apprenticeship and professional accreditation with the Institution of Civil Engineers, becoming an Incorporated Engineer, you will have the knowledge, experience and professional membership to progress and be rewarded with a great career at M Group.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A-Level Maths or BTEC Level 3, Level 3 National Extended Diploma, including Maths, or Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction or Engineering Technician or HND in similar fields.
  • Maths GCSE Grade 6 required
  • Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • A collaborative approach and a drive to make a difference
  • A full UK/EU driving licence and willingness to travel
