Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we keep the UK moving, connected and powered. Our Network Infrastructure business plays a key role in delivering the critical energy infrastructure needed to support communities, enable growth and accelerate the UK’s transition to net zero.

As a Graduate Bid Executive, you'll join our structured Work Winning Graduate Programme, designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to every aspect of securing and delivering major infrastructure opportunities. Through planned rotations across the bids function, you'll gain hands-on experience in bid management and coordination, bid writing, business development, strategy and customer engagement, helping you build a broad skillset and identify the career path that's right for you. 

As a Graduate Bid Executive, you’ll get the opportunity to;

  • Work alongside experienced Bid Managers, Bid Writers and business leaders, you'll support the development of winning submissions across renewable energy, substations, distribution networks, EV infrastructure and wider utility projects.
  • Support the delivery of strategic bids across the Network Infrastructure business.
  • Assist in reviewing tender documentation and identifying customer requirements.
  • Help coordinate bid programmes, actions, reviews and submission deadlines.
  • Draft, edit and review tender responses, case studies and supporting documents.
  • Work with technical, operational and commercial experts to gather information and develop solutions.
  • Support bid workshops, kick-off meetings, storyboarding sessions and reviews.
  • Conduct client, competitor and market research to strengthen bid strategies.
  • Assist with governance activities and approval processes throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Support the development of presentations, interview materials and customer-facing documents.
  • Maintain bid libraries, lessons learned and knowledge management systems.
  • Monitor progress and communicate updates to bid teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute ideas that improve bid quality, efficiency and overall win rates.
  • Conduct customer engagement activities and presentations

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, English, Creative Writing, English, Project Management, History or Law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management abilities.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with different stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment.
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Resilient and adaptable within a fast-paced environment.
