We are thrilled to announce that Matt Chadwick, Lubricants Process Operations Supervisor for ExxonMobil Fawley, was awarded the prestigious Young Industrialist of the Year Award at the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) 2023 Global Awards Ceremony.

Widely recognised as the world's most prestigious chemical engineering awards, the event showcased organisations and individuals that demonstrated excellence in chemical, biochemical and process engineering.

This remarkable achievement serves as a testament to Matt's exceptional skill, dedication and significant contributions to the field of engineering.

"We are incredibly proud of Matt", said Fawley Process Manager, Annita McCurdy.

"Winning this award recognises Matt's achievements and how he applies his skills to support key technical, operational and economic decisions, as part of the Fawley team who work together every day to meet the country's energy needs."

After graduating from the University of Cambridge with a Master's in Chemical Engineering, Matt joined ExxonMobil as a Project Development Engineer in 2015 before going on to achieve Chartership in 2019.

A panel of 30 judges selected winners while shining a spotlight on organisations and individuals that are leading the way in their fields.

From all at ExxonMobil Fawley, congratulations Matt on this fantastic award.
