About the Role
In this role, as part of our Early Careers Programme, you will support the Indirect Procurement team in managing a range of non-production categories such as IT, consumables, contract labour, travel, fleet, marketing & professional services, facilities, and staff benefits through the source-to-pay cycle for the UK & Ireland, combining analytical work, supplier engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to help ABB reduce costs and improve supplier performance whilst ensuring compliance with ABB global Procurement Policies and Procedures.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
Assist in managing RFQs, RFPs and tender processes, ensuring that all documentation, timelines and evaluation criteria are followed accurately.
Support the creation, review and renewal of contracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and UK contract law.
Gather and analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential process improvements.
Help monitor supplier performance, track KPIs and support the resolution of any supplier-related issues.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining procurement workflows and strengthening category strategies.
Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements, gather specifications and support informed purchasing decisions.
Ensure all procurement activities align with ABB policies, audit requirements and ethical standards.
Qualifications for the Role
Relevant degree in business, supply chain or another relevant subject.
Analytical Skills - Strong numerical competency combined with Excel competence.
Communication Skills - Ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Organisation & Prioritisation - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
