  • Technology Exposure: Depending on your specific project, you’ll get exposure to a wide range of different technologies and systems and receive training to understand how to use as well as help implement them.

What you’ll need

You don’t need to know how to code or have technical skills to apply for our Technology Analyst Industrial Placement, that’s what we’re here to teach you. You will, however, need a genuine passion for technology and the systematic mindset to grow passion into potential.

We welcome applications from penultimate-year students on a credit-bearing placement from any discipline either at Bachelor’s or Integrated Masters level.

Interns who thrive on this programme have:

  • Think analytically and enjoy solving problems.
  • Have a strong interest in how technology creates solutions.
  • A proactive, curious and growth mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as projects change.
  • Problem solvers who enjoy collaborating to get things done.

If you think that you meet these criteria, this could be a great fit for you!

Your Development Path

Once you’ve completed your initial training, you’ll be ready to take on your first role. Project placements vary based on business needs, and we encourage interns to explore a wide range of opportunities to discover what excites them most. For this programme roles may typically include:

  • Quality Engineer
  • Data Analyst
  • Business Analyst
  • DevOps

Throughout your placement, you’ll be supported with ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to help you grow your skills and shape your career.

In your first six months, you’ll likely work across a variety of projects giving you the chance to apply what you’ve learned at university, explore different areas of tech, and uncover where your strengths and passions lie.

By the end of the scheme, you’ll walk away with valuable experience, in demand skills and hopefully, an offer to join us when you graduate.

To bring this to life, here are some examples from previous Technology Analyst interns, who rejoined us on our graduate programme:

  • Sam completed the placement in 2022 and returned on graduate programme in 2024. He now supports the redesign of the Operating Model for a global full-service bank within their Markets & Securities Services division. His work is driving a strategic shift towards a future-state architecture—streamlining business strategy, capabilities, and aligning them with modern technical and data frameworks.
  • Amy completed the placement in 2023 and returned on the graduate programme in January 2025. She now plays a key role in the change management team within the financial services sector, driving quality assurance through rigorous review, risk evaluation, and strategic stakeholder engagement.

You will be required to be in your assigned office for a minimum of three days per week and must live within commuting distance to make this possible. Project work may also take you to client sites across the UK, sometimes more than three days a week, depending on business needs.

Key Dates

The start date for the programme is September 2027, and you’ll work with us for twelve months. Applications close on 30 November 2026, although we may close applications earlier if the role is filled, so we encourage early applications.
