I joined RINA Tech UK in December 2020 as a Graduate Renewables Consultant after completing a MEng in Mechanical Engineering. My role facilitates my involvement in a wide range of exciting renewables developments, including both solar PV and large-scale energy storage projects.
During my time at RINA I have supported clients during the development of grid-connected battery storage projects, providing technical assistance from the planning and design phase through to construction and commissioning. I have also been fortunate to participate in a Horizon 2020 research project, focussing on the development of a new battery chemistry. Within the renewables team we also provide a wide range of due diligence support, identifying and mitigating the risks associated with new solar PV and energy storage developments. I particularly enjoy the fact that I can be involved in such a wide variety of projects.
I have also been given the responsibility to manage both the commercial and technical aspects of our projects, gaining direct exposure to our clients at an early stage in my career. This has been possible due to the continual support of my colleagues within the renewables team.
I am proud that in my role at RINA I am tangibly contributing to the renewable energy transition, both in the UK and across the globe.
