The role

We have an opportunity for an intern to join our CAD team for a long term project (at least 6 months, preferably 12 months), taking responsibility for developing scripts, utilities and web applications to be used by the engineering teams within Dialog.

What we are looking for

We seek a current student who is able to undertake a long-term project. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in:

  • One or more of the following languages: Perl, Python, TCL, PHP
  • Basic linux knowledge, ability to navigate around, create directories etc. Experience with shell scripting and utilities such as sed, awk etc. would be advantageous

Other desirable knowledge:

  • Web HTML / XML (knowledge of API's such, REST, SOAP, etc.. would be an advantage)
  • Databases: MySQL, Neo4j
  • Understanding of version management tools (eg. subversion, git, RCS..)
  • Other programming languages such as: C, VisualBasic, Shell scripting, etc
