Where Better Begins - Early Careers
A career at Sky is where better begins.

About this programme

Ready to launch your career in sales with one of the UK’s most recognisable brands? Sky Business is offering an exciting graduate opportunity for ambitious individuals looking to break into customer-facing sales.

You’ll be joining a high-performing team that delivers cutting-edge content and connectivity solutions to businesses across our Mid-Market, Hospitality, and Wholesale P&Ls.

This two-year programme is designed to develop future sales leaders through structured training and hands-on experience. You’ll complete four rotations, each starting with formal training and sector-specific upskilling, followed by immersive sales roles.

You’ll be joining a small, tight-knit cohort of graduates who will help shape the future of Sky Business.

With structured training, real client interactions, and rotational placements across different sales functions, this programme is ideal for ambitious graduates who want to build a career in commercial sales and strategy.

Location: Start in Leeds, then move to Osterley or stay in Leeds when not with customers, national travel involved

Salary: £32,000 per annum plus £2,000 relocation allowance. After 6 months - £35,000 per annum for those in Osterley and £32,000 per annum for those staying in Leeds plus commission and a company car.

What you’ll be doing

Your journey begins with a comprehensive 4-week onboarding programme, covering product knowledge, sales craft, and shadowing opportunities. Each rotation builds on the last, with tailored training modules combining classroom learning, field visits, shadowing, and role play.

Throughout the programme, you’ll be supported by coaching, mentoring, and continual development. By the final rotation, you’ll be fully accredited and ready to step into a permanent sales role.

To help you build strong foundations and learn alongside your peers, you’ll spend the first 6 months of the programme based at our Leeds office in a desk-based role. This will give you the chance to develop core skills, connect with your graduate cohort, and learn from each other as you start your journey. After this initial rotation you will have the opportunity to be based from Leeds or Osterley, whilst also travelling across the country to meet clients—one week you could be in Plymouth, the next in London.

We’ll support your move to Leeds with a relocation allowance, and you’ll have a company car to enable your travel. In addition to your base salary, you’ll have the opportunity to earn commission, giving you the opportunity to be rewarded for your performance and impact.

During the two-year programme, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how Sky Business operates and how we deliver solutions that add value to our clients.

Your journey will include 3 main roles:

  • Desk-Based Graduate Sales Executive - Start your journey in an entry-level B2B sales role where you'll build foundational skills in prospecting, outreach, and customer engagement. You'll be introduced to Sky’s core sales competencies and supported to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Field Sales Graduate Executive - After mastering the basics, you'll move into a solution-oriented role focused on strategic customer conversations. You'll complete Sky’s Sales Methodology training and learn how to identify customer challenges and position tailored solutions effectively.
  • Wholesale Graduate Account Manager - In this rotation, you'll manage relationships with Sky’s ISP partners to drive connectivity sales. You'll learn how to grow and nurture partner accounts, gaining valuable experience in strategic engagement and account management.

This graduate programme offers a strong foundation in both commercial strategy and client-facing sales. You’ll gain insight into key business areas such as business strategy, data analytics, commercial negotiating and decision-making, while also developing hands-on experience working directly with clients — building relationships, understanding their needs, tailoring solutions, and supporting sales growth and customer retention. By the end of the programme, you’ll have a well-rounded understanding of how Sky Business operates and the confidence to make a real impact.

What we’re looking for

The one essential requirement is that you’re currently in the final year of your undergraduate degree, completing a postgraduate qualification, or have already graduated. Your degree can be in any subject. We’re not looking for a specific subject — we’re looking for people who are curious, full of ideas, and ready to get stuck in.

Other things we’re looking for:

  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Able to relocate to Leeds for the first 6 months
  • Willingness to travel across the country
  • Confidence in face-to-face communication
  • A proactive, target-driven mindset
  • A passion for technology, media, and customer success.

Right to work: Please be aware that Sky do not offer sponsorship for this role, employment is contingent on you having a valid right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme.

Your application journey

Here’s what to expect, step by step:

  • Step 1 – Apply online Tell us a bit about yourself — your details, your degree, and anything else you think we should know (like part-time jobs, volunteering, or cool projects you’ve worked on). Once you hit submit, keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder!) — we’ll send you a link to start your digital assessments. Please note, you can only apply to one programme per year.
  • Step 2 – Show us your skills You’ll complete two online assessments that help us get to know you better - how you think, what motivates you, and how you might fit into the programme. Don’t worry — you’ll get a chance to practice first, and we’ll send you tips to help you feel confident. We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.
  • Step 3 – Virtual Assessment Centre If you make it to the final stage, we’ll invite you to a virtual assessment day. You’ll take part in tasks designed to show us how you think, solve problems, and work with others — all while getting a real feel for what it’s like to work in Sky. We'll let you know when to expect a decision once the assessment day has taken place.

Need Support? If you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know when you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch if we need more detail.
