Where Better Begins - Early Careers
A career at Sky is where better begins.

About the programme

Join the team that transforms data into action.

On our Data and Analytics Graduate Programme, you’ll help shape how we use data to communicate with customers, uncover key insights into business performance and deliver the entertainment millions love.

You’ll gain a strong analytical mindset, technical skills in coding, data modelling, cloud computing, and visualisation tools like Tableau and Looker. You’ll also build confidence in communicating insights, managing stakeholders, and making a real impact—setting you up for a successful career in data and analytics. Best of all, you won’t need to specialise straight away; you’ll explore the full spectrum of data and analytics before choosing your path.

What you’ll be doing

Over two years, you’ll rotate through three key areas—Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics, and Commercial Performance—giving you a broad foundation in data and analytics before choosing your specialism.

  • Data Engineering - You’ll build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers decision-making across the business. Expect to work with cloud platforms like GCP, create data marts, combine data sources, and develop dashboards using tools like Tableau and Looker. You’ll also learn how to improve data flows and ensure data quality.
  • Advanced Analytics - Here, you’ll dive into customer data to build predictive models and uncover insights that shape strategy. You’ll deliver end-to-end analytics projects—from gathering requirements to presenting results—and learn how to apply techniques like propensity modelling to real business challenges.
  • Commercial Performance - You’ll analyse how products and propositions are performing, support business cases for new launches, and help optimise existing offerings. This rotation will sharpen your stakeholder engagement and presentation skills, as you translate data into actionable insights for commercial teams. Throughout the programme, you’ll work on real projects, develop cutting-edge analytical skills, and deliver insights directly to senior stakeholders—collaborating with brilliant minds to solve complex challenges.

What we’re looking for

The one essential requirement is that you’re currently in the final year of your undergraduate degree, completing a postgraduate qualification, or have already graduated. Your degree can be in any subject. We’re not looking for a specific subject — we’re looking for people who are curious, full of ideas, and ready to get stuck in.

Right to work: Please be aware that Sky do not offer sponsorship for this role, employment is contingent on you having a valid right to work in Ireland for the full duration of the programme.

Your application journey

Here’s what to expect, step by step:

  • Step 1 – Apply online
Tell us a bit about yourself — your details, your degree, and anything else you think we should know (like part-time jobs, volunteering, or cool projects you’ve worked on). Once you hit submit, keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder!) — we’ll send you a link to start your digital assessments. Please note, you can only apply to one programme per year.
  • Step 2 – Show us your skills
You’ll complete two online assessments that help us get to know you better - how you think, what motivates you, and how you might fit into the programme. Don’t worry — you’ll get a chance to practice first, and we’ll send you tips to help you feel confident. We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.
  • Step 3 – In-Person Assessment Centre
If you make it to the final stage, we’ll invite you to an in-person assessment day. You’ll take part in tasks designed to show us how you think, solve problems, and work with others — all while getting a real feel for what it’s like to work at Sky Ireland. We’ll let you know when to expect a decision after the day’s done.

Need Support?

If you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know when you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch if we need more detail.

Where developing you begins
