Where Better Begins - Early Careers
A career at Sky is where better begins.

About this programme

Ever wondered how a company like Sky decides what to do next? Whether it’s launching a new product, investing in cutting-edge tech, or expanding into new markets — our Strategy team is behind the big decisions that keep us ahead of the game.

As an intern, you’ll get a front-row seat to how strategy works in real life. You’ll work with senior leaders, explore new ideas, and help shape the future of one of Europe’s leading media and entertainment brands.

We’re looking for curious minds, fresh perspectives, and people who love solving problems. If you’re someone who asks “why?” and “what if?”, this is your chance to turn those questions into real impact. And if you impress us, you could land a place in Strategy starting in September 2028.

What you’ll be doing

During your internship, you’ll dive into the world of corporate strategy and get hands-on experience with projects that matter. You’ll:

  • Research industry trends and competitor activity to spot new opportunities
  • Use data and insights to help define Sky’s next big moves
  • Support strategy projects involving customer research, analysis, and business case development
  • Receive training in key strategy skills like data interpretation, research, and presenting
  • Collaborate with teams across Sky and build your professional network

You won’t just be watching from the side lines — you’ll be contributing ideas, solving problems, and learning how strategy shapes everything we do.

What we’re looking for

The one essential requirement is that you're currently studying for an undergraduate degree in any subject, and in your penultimate year.

What matters most is your mindset. Skills that will help you thrive:

  • Naturally curious and full of ideas
  • Confident with numbers and data
  • Great at communicating and presenting
  • Collaborative and keen to learn from others
  • Passionate about making a real impact
  • If you’ve got a problem-solving attitude and love thinking outside the box, you’ll fit right in.

Right to work - Please be aware that Sky do not offer sponsorship for this role, employment is contingent on you having the valid right to work in the UK/Ireland for the full duration of the programme. Following the internship, anyone who is selected for the Graduate programme offers will be conditional on having the full right to work in the UK/Ireland for the duration of the Graduate scheme.

Your application journey

Here’s what to expect, step by step:

Step 1 – Apply online

Tell us a bit about yourself — your details, your degree, and anything else you think we should know (like part-time jobs, volunteering, or cool projects you’ve worked on). Once you hit submit, keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder!) — we’ll send you a link to start your digital assessments. Please note, you can only apply to one programme per year.

Step 2 – Show us your skills

You’ll complete two online assessments designed to help us get to know you better — how you think, what motivates you, and how you might fit into the programme. Don’t worry - you’ll get a chance to practice first, and we’ll send you tips to help you feel confident. We understand that you might want to utilise AI to support your preparation for taking the assessments – understanding Sky etc. But we ask that you complete the assessments themselves without the assistance of AI.

Step 3 – In-Person Assessment Centre

If you make it to the final stage, we’ll invite you to an in-person assessment day. You’ll take part in tasks designed to show us how you think, solve problems, and work with others — all while getting a real feel for what it’s like to work at Sky. We’ll let you know when to expect a decision after the day’s done.

Need Support? If you need us to make any adjustments to help you complete any stage of your application, let us know when you submit your application and someone from our Early Careers team will get in touch if we need more detail.

So why wait?

This is your chance to be part of something big. Our internship puts you right at the centre of the action — learning, growing, and helping make the magic of Sky happen every day. No matter your background, interests, or degree subject, there’s space here for your ideas and ambition.

A career at Sky is where better begins — and it starts with you.
