About the role
Gain practical knowledge of consenting and environmental management processes during offshore wind farm construction.
Develop experience in Environmental Impact Assessments, marine licensing, Development Consent Orders and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project planning.
Support the preparation and review of consent and licence applications.
Draft and review key documents, meeting minutes, presentations and trackers.
Assist with project management and the coordination of team activities.
Contribute to engagement with regulators and statutory stakeholders, including the Marine Management Organisation, The Crown Estate, Natural England and Local Planning Authorities.
Participate in industry events and stakeholder engagement activities.
Collaborate with colleagues across a large, industry-leading organisation.
Job requirements and experience
Ongoing studies in environmental science, environmental management, environmental biology, renewable energy, geography, marine biology, oceanography, marine sciences or a similar subject.
Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
Confidence working in a diverse team and engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness to travel to other sites when required.
A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
An offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain and or maintain National Security Vetting to SC may result in the removal of job offers and or existing employment.
