About the role

• Gain experience across the full scope of offshore wind farm operations, including safety management and reporting.
• Work with stakeholders across the business and within the joint venture partnership.
• Analyse turbine faults and recommend modifications to maximise output and performance.
• Identify and document operational risks.
• Support daily site fault reporting, work planning and technical decision-making.
• Lead a high-profile continuous improvement project, including budget, contract and contractor management.
• Help maintain and operate the wind farm efficiently to power hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses across the UK.
• Contribute to team decisions and deliver a tangible impact on the business.

Job requirements and experience

• Ongoing degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Confidence working in a diverse team and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to other sites when required, with travel expenses covered.

• At least five years of residence in the UK due to potential National Security Vetting requirements.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
