As part of our Graduate programme, you’ll be joining a long line of inquisitive graduates at AWE who have been instrumental in making the world safe and secure for almost 30 years.
Our two-year programme offers opportunities in a variety of disciplines across our business. The programme is designed to be flexible, to incorporate a range of experiences as well as business needs. You’ll undertake several placements to expand your knowledge of your discipline, enabling you to develop yourself and your ongoing career. Your line manager will work with you to create an appropriate pathway for you – and support you on your journey.
Your on-programme learning will be complemented by on-job and off-job learning via online and classroom training courses, largely tailored to your discipline. You’ll also be part of a graduate project team focusing on a key business deliverable. With the support of your project sponsor, you’ll gain an insight into the challenges of delivering a group project to time, cost and quality targets. This experience will prove invaluable in developing your teamworking skills and building your network across AWE.
Our Graduate programme currently holds accreditation with 9 professional institutes, proof of the commitment we have to continuous professional development at AWE. You’ll be given a mentor and access to our heads of profession. Should you wish to achieve chartered status within your chosen discipline, they will give you the initial and ongoing support you need.
