Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious environmental focused graduate to join our fast growing environmental due diligence team. A successful candidate will join our comprehensive two-year graduate programme. Designed specifically for graduates, this programme provides the support and experience needed to successfully navigate the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) via the ‘Minerals and Waste Management’ pathway.

Whilst the pathway programme is centred on RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) ‘Minerals and Waste Management’ pathway, affiliation and ultimately accreditation with alternative environmentally focused professional bodies is encouraged (e.g. The Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals – ISEP, Chartered Environmentalist Programme).

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical, commercial, and project management skills within a fast-paced consultancy environment and may also present opportunities for international work across Europe.

Qualifications

  • Academic Credentials: A Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline (achieved or on track for a 2:1 minimum). Masters applicants holding or completing programmes in a similar field to the above are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Acumen: An understanding of environmental risk and compliance principles, with a genuine interest in environmental due diligence, contaminated land, environmental management, and the real estate sector.

What We Value in Our Graduates

  • Passion: A genuine interest in the built environment and the construction industry, including both infrastructure and real estate.
  • Client Focus: A strong desire to deliver excellent service and uphold our commitment to quality in everything you do.
  • Sustainability Awareness: Conscious of environmental challenges and motivated to contribute to a more sustainable future in construction.
  • Analytical Thinking: Able to approach problems logically and eager to develop your analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data Fluency: Comfortable working with data and confident in presenting insights clearly and effectively.
  • Drive: Motivated to contribute to the successful delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Self-Awareness: Recognise your own development needs and are committed to learning and refining your technical and commercial skills.

Other Requirements

This role is primarily office-based, and colleagues are expected to work from the office for the majority of the working week. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.

For some regional roles, travel to client sites may be required. Where access to client locations is limited by public transport, a full driving licence and access to transport may be beneficial.

To be considered for roles in the Defence arena, you will need to pass both a Baseline Personnel Security Standard check and UKSV SC clearance. This process will begin once you’ve accepted an offer and confirmed your willingness to undergo the checks.

What You’ll Gain

  • Sector Exposure: The opportunity to broaden your knowledge across sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, advisory, defence, and energy and natural resources while developing the skills to provide commercial, strategic, and analytical advice to clients.
  • Client and Team Engagement: The opportunity to work with your colleagues in a team environment, and with our clients, to drive positive social and environmental change, encourage innovation and create a sustainable energy future.
  • Tailored Development: A personalised training plan designed to grow your skills and knowledge, with tools to help you track and advance your progress.
  • Technical Training: Access to our Technical Training Academy, where you’ll deepen your professional expertise, sharpen your capabilities, and prepare for future challenges.
