The Role

As an AI Engineer, you will support the development and execution of strategic partnerships across the AI ecosystem, including foundation model providers, hyperscalers, and specialist AI software vendors. Working closely with the AI Partnerships Lead and wider AI teams, you will help coordinate partner engagements, support go-to-market initiatives, facilitate workshops, and track partnership outcomes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation in AI partnerships, commercial models, and enterprise AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of strategic AI partnerships and partner engagement activities.
  • Maintain partner documentation, meeting notes, trackers, action logs, and governance artefacts.
  • Prepare presentations, briefing papers, one-pagers, and executive summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of partner workshops, discovery sessions, and joint go-to-market activities.
  • Capture customer use cases, success criteria, and follow-up actions from stakeholder engagements.
  • Support the development of reseller, referral, and co-sell opportunities through documentation and tracking activities.
  • Assist in mapping projects to partner consumption models and maintaining supporting commercial records.
  • Develop knowledge of AI platforms and solution patterns, including large language models, AI assistants, and agentic workflows.
  • Support responsible AI reviews by ensuring appropriate governance, compliance, privacy, and risk considerations are documented.
  • Maintain accurate partnership dashboards, pipelines, trackers, and reporting documentation.
  • Ensure partnership materials are version-controlled, organised, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience

  • MBA (or equivalent) together with an Engineering, Data Science, or related technical degree; alternatively, a strong quantitative Bachelor's degree with a demonstrated interest in AI.
  • Graduate-level experience or up to two years of experience in partnerships, consulting, product management, pre-sales, technology, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and follow through on actions.
  • Foundational understanding of AI technologies and concepts, with a keen interest in Generative AI and large language models.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

  • Experience through internships, projects, or academic research involving AI, machine learning, or emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of partnership models such as reseller, referral, co-sell, or alliance programmes.
  • Exposure to customer workshops, business analysis, or consulting engagements.
  • Knowledge of concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, AI governance, or Responsible AI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CRM, pipeline management, or reporting tools.
