About the Role

Kick-start your commercial career with Worley, a global engineering and construction organisation delivering some of the world's most complex and innovative energy, chemicals and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a talented Commercial Graduate to join our UK team, with opportunities across our offices in London, Manchester, Stockton, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

From Carbon Capture, Green Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel projects to major data centres, pipelines and traditional energy developments, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are shaping the future of our industry. Working alongside experienced commercial and project professionals, you will gain hands-on exposure to contract management, commercial strategy, project performance and risk management, building a strong foundation for a successful career in commercial management.

As part of our two-year graduate programme, you will receive structured training, mentoring and development opportunities while gaining experience across multidisciplinary teams and a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects. Graduates will be appointed to a UK office location but should be prepared to be geographically mobile during the programme, with opportunities to work across our UK offices, project sites and, where available, international assignments.

If you are commercially minded, enjoy analysing data, solving complex business challenges and working collaboratively with project teams, Worley offers an environment where you can learn, grow and make your mark from day one.

You'll be:

  • Supporting commercial managers in the preparation and submission of commercially sound and robust proposals, addressing the customer requirements.
  • Working with commercial managers in the management of the prime contract with a diverse portfolio of customers and projects.
  • Assisting with project forecasting and reporting, risk and opportunity management, and performance analysis.
  • Contributing to contract reviews, identifying contractual risks and developing the required mitigation strategies.
  • Working closely with project, engineering, procurement and finance teams to help deliver successful project outcomes, in compliance with the prime contract.
  • Developing an understanding of commercial strategy, governance, compliance and project controls within a global organisation.
  • Building strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills through exposure to clients, partners and project teams.
  • Developing your business acumen, understanding the cost basis and pricing build-up under different forms of contractual and commercial models.

You'll have:

  • You will be in your final year of study of an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree, or have graduated within the past two years.
  • Applicants must have achieved, or be working towards achieving, a minimum 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent qualification).
  • Degrees in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Law, Construction Management, Project Management or related disciplines are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in commercial decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Must have full right to live and work in the UK.

  • A dedicated mentor to provide guidance, support, and career development throughout your graduate journey.
  • Membership of our Graduate Community, led and managed by graduates. With its own governance structure and annual budget, the community provides networking opportunities, development initiatives, and a platform for graduates to contribute to company strategy.
  • The opportunity to work on exciting projects within a truly global organisation, collaborating with colleagues and clients across our business and gaining exposure to diverse industries and locations.
  • Exposure to commercial leadership, contract strategy, project delivery and business operations.
