We're Fusion, the University of Bristol's student-led Chemistry society! Our aim is to bring together each individual in our community with exciting social events, such as quizzes and film nights; guest speakers and two formal dinners; as well as a number of additional pastoral and academic support programmes for our members.
We are very keen to work with businesses across the country. Our work in the Bristol area includes assisting the University with outreach activities, which forms part of our goal to leave our local community in a better condition than that in which we found it.
These include our family scheme, helping First Year students meet new people and settle into university life!
We also run LGBTQ+ and BAME Networks to provide a safe and supportive environment for those members of our community and we also work with the University Careers Service to provide guidance and advice for our students who may be considering career options.
On top of this, we've organised a fundraising partnership with a local mental health charity, OTR Bristol, who'll provide further support for our members.
Most recently we have organised a Fun Run and a Scavenger Hunt to raise money for the charity which we had a lot of fun hosting.
Our most recent event was our annual summer formal which was a huge success for our members.
After a long year of adapting our social plans to accommodate for the pandemic, we really enjoyed hosting an in-person event to finish the year off in style!
