At AeroSoc we aim to provide networking opportunities for engineering students with industry professionals through events including industrial trips and guest lecturers.
We are based in MACE (School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering) at the University of Manchester, where we constantly run social and industrial events to connect students with each other and with experts in industry. Our events are mainly aerospace related however we accept anyone from any discipline!
These employers have shown they are particularly interested in members of our Society. It makes sense to click on their logos to visit their Company Hubs, ‘Follow’ them and apply!
If you're an employer and would like to add your company logo to this page, please contact Georgia via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
This year, due to Covid, all our events had to be online.
We had experts from ESA, British Airways, Airbus, and Aston Martin give online presentations about their experiences in the industry as well as guidance to students regarding writing a successful graduate job application.
In previous years, we went on trips to the Rolls-Royce aerospace facility in Derby where we were given a tour of the factory and then spoke to graduates working at RR about their experiences after university.
Also, as part of our annual international trips, we have visited Airbus in France and Spain and Lamborghini and Ferrari in Italy. We also run an annual pub crawl that usually includes over 100 students.
