Warwick Physics Society (PhysSoc) is a student-run society that supports students during their studies through both academic support and social events for them to get to know other students.
We are aimed at Warwick students undertaking Physics-based degrees, as well as those who have a general interest in the field. We aim to make available any academic support that physics students may need or want as well as putting on a huge range of fun and exciting events and trips.

We organise an annual ball in the second term with the Maths and Statistics societies for over 300 students. |

We organise events for women in Physics to get to know each other and provide a supportive environment. For example we have run cake decorating, pub quizzes and painting sessions. |

Throughout the year we have welfare events to help with the stressful Physics course! Our most popular welfare event is Pets for Therapy where students can spend time with the therapy dogs from the charity Pets for Therapy and help raise money for the charity. |

Every year we organise the Physics Society Tour, a trip to a European city for a couple of days. In previous years we have visited cities such as Budapest and Prague. This is a really great opportunity to have a few days away with your friends in Physics and to make some new friends on the course across all the year groups. |

As per the Warwick University tradition, there are Physics Society circles. These are events ran by our Social Secretaries and involve dressing up in costumes and running drinking games. We also host bar crawls, board game nights, crazy golf, ice skating and many other social activities. |

We also have Physics society sports teams which compete against sports teams from other societies in the termly leagues for badminton and football. |

Every Thursday evening we run Physics Café where a speaker discusses the work that they do in Physics. This allows students to broaden their Physics knowledge beyond what the course teaches and gives them an idea of career paths they could take after their degree. This event also involves an informal academic help session where students can get help with their assignments and also pizza! |

During Welcome Week we hold events such as a welcome talk and a BBQ with the Statistics Society to help new students get to know the Physics Society and other students on their course. |
