Lincoln Biomedical Science Society

The Biomedical Science Society at the University of Lincoln is an academic society providing insights into unique areas of research and different career paths for our student members.

We organise academic related talks from external guest speakers; hold charity events; give advice on placements and industry years and arrange workshops with our on-campus careers advice centre.

We achieved first place in ‘Academic society of the year’ in 2019 and came joint 3rd in 2020.

We are affiliated with the Institute of Biomedical Science.

We have raised over £500 for charity organisations like Anthony Nolan and Cancer Research.

Since the formation of our society in 2017 we have had over 30 scientific guest speakers present to our members.

Our most recent charity project involved raising over £450 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in its ‘Sugar Free February’ challenge.
