Warwick Google Developer Student Club

Warwick Google Developer Student Club is a university based community group for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as developers are welcome. By joining Warwick GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community. We are genuinely affiliated with Google.

  1. We identify local partners to work with and lead project building activities.
  2. Grow student knowledge on developer products and platforms through hands-on workshops and events.
  3. We give access to a global network of student leaders, professional community organisers, industry experts, and Googlers to gain mentorship and share knowledge.

Leetcode Study Jams

An employability skills series, centred around leetcode and hacker rank style interview questions.

This helped ratify cohesion within our campus community, through the development of problem solving skills in algorithms and data structures.

Introduction to UX/UI

This was a lecture style event series that enumerated the benefits of a career in user experience and user interface design, development and research.

Our community were given structured lessons on core skills in UX/UI, completing Google’s professional certificate’s UX/UI specification.

An Introduction to Financial Machine Learning

This was an individualised lecture-style event that we plan to extend throughout 2023.

Members of our community in attendance were given the basics of the mathematical formalism that underpins the prediction of the prices of financial instruments, using methods in machine learning.
