Nottingham Aerospace Engineering Society

We are the University of Nottingham's Aerospace Society, led by current Aerospace Engineering students. Our engineering-focused events are designed to help you build long-lasting connections with your lecturers and industrial professionals.

Additionally, we host collaborative events and socials with various societies across the University, both STEM and non-STEM, providing many more opportunities to make new friends!

We hold annual balls: Annual Boat Party, Annual Engineering Balls.

We've hosted Aero-themed movie nights. Movies watched: Top Gun, Apollo 13.

We have two AeroSoc Sports teams. 1) Men’s Football 2) Women’s Netball. Includes regular meetups for training and developing new sports skills.

We host technical workshops and promote industrial talks.

Engineering Ball

Events planned for this year:

Student-faculty dinner: Socialising students and Professors to building connections.
CATIA masterclasses: 1st and 2nd years new to CAD can come along and get support and helpful insights from 3rd and 4th years into their CAD coursework.
Alumni talks and industry guests: events held for students thinking about making internship applications and/or looking for graduate jobs.
Socials may include: Karting, Mini boat racing, F1 race viewing, Farnborough Space show visit etc.
