Strathclyde Biomedical Society

Strathbiomed was established in 2018 to connect members with other passionate and motivated students with an interest in biomolecular sciences. Our goal is to nurture that interest and allow members to network between all years and disciplines.

As a newer society we organise events to connect like-minded individuals. These events consist of fun and themed socials to decompress and maintain work/life balance during studies along with peer mentor and study groups. Our favourite socials include fancy dress competitions and quiz nights at our union.

More about our Society

We hope to provide some informative talks surrounding STEM career pathways and networking events to allow our members to connect with the wider scientific community.

Our main goal for this year is to provide more information to our members about research projects currently happening at the University of Strathclyde to make academic and industrial research seem more accessible. By introducing research as early as possible in our careers we can build skills quickly to aid our learning and share more career pathways that are lesser known.

This project is in cooperation with Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and biomedical sciences and our motivated committee members.
