Our aim is to build a vibrant community focused on cybersecurity, Linux, and related topics through workshops, bootcamps, and hands-on activities. We plan to bring in professionals from the industry as well as students who are experts in specific areas of cybersecurity to conduct sessions.
Furthermore, with support from our University’s Technology Faculty, we intend to move forward partaking in activities and competitions to further our knowledge as well partaking in research to contribute to the fields’ academic advancements.
We recently had our first society gathering in one of our university computer labs. Here we discussed the exciting plans we have for our members in the future, as well as having our committee formally introduce themselves. We also had one of our patrons come to support and discuss with our members events to look forward to.
Our main line of contact is via email: uplug@upsu.net
We also have social platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram where members can reach out if needed.
