Royal Navy
Armed Forces – Sea
In times of conflict or peace, the Royal Navy is key to the prosperity of the UK and the stability of the high seas.
  • Acting as a constant deterrent, protector and enabler of the maritime trade that’s essential to the UK economy, we gather intelligence, eliminate threats and support the enforcement of UN resolutions.
  • Positioned at hotspots all over the globe, we’re uniquely placed to protect the UK’s interests and support humanitarian disasters by sea, land and air.
  • Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do. It’s why we were the first military force to exist in the UK, the first to introduce aircraft to our fleet, and the first force in the world to lead with amphibious warfare.

Are you ready to go places?

A career in the Naval Service means adventure, camaraderie and lifelong prospects. Every day you make a difference. And no two days are the same.

Graduates typically join as officers, which means you’ll be leading from the front, managing people and having real responsibility from very early on. As an Engineer Officer, you’ll need to understand, maintain and manage our state-of-the-art systems and equipment. Unlike many civilian engineering jobs, you won’t be based behind a desk, you’ll be out in the field, working on equipment like the F35 Joint Strike Fighter or the Type 45 Destroyer.

Your training will be 100% tailored to your needs and interests, and if you want to pursue post-graduate study, or work towards being a Chartered Engineer, we’ll pay for it and give you time to study.

If you’re ready for adventure and would like to be part of a truly unique organisation, and have a career you can be immensely proud of, there’s a great future waiting for you in the Royal Navy.
