Named as one of the UK’s top employers for the last five years in a row (2008 to 2012), we are looking to develop our leaders of tomorrow and if you want to have a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding career you could be one of them.
Our diverse portfolio of services and wide range of graduate training programmes across the organisation mean there are many different destinations and career paths for graduates joining Wood Group. Whether your interest is in greenfield or brownfield oil and gas engineering, subsea & pipelines, process & facilities or gas turbines, each of our businesses offers an exciting place for graduates to excel, learn and grow.
What’s more, each Wood Group company has something different to offer - that's what makes our organisation a really interesting and great place to work!
Whatever Wood Group business you join, you can expect to follow a structured development programme, working on challenging projects from the start while gaining a broad range of industry experience. We set high standards for our graduate engineers and it goes without saying that we offer an excellent and competitive rewards package. Our commitment is to provide you with the training and mentoring you need to develop an international perspective of the oil & gas industry and to ensure your long term career progression. You will also be supported towards achieving professional recognition with a relevant Institution (e.g. IMechE, IET, IStructE, IChemE).
With operations in 50 countries, there are also opportunities for you to participate in international exchanges and assignments. Our rotational programme with Wood Group GTS for example, requires geographical flexibility, as rotations with this scheme will typically last six months at various domestic and international business locations, including Aberdeen, Dundee, Cumbernauld, Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, Switzerland, Thailand, Israel and Canada.
During induction week our graduates were given cameras and props and were asked to produce a video outlining why they chose to join Wood Group. See the video to the right to see what they came up with…
