What to Expect

We are recruiting for Graduates to join our Commercial team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. As a Commercial Graduate, you will develop your skills and technical acumen in our sales, marketing, and aftersales environments while gaining hands-on experience with one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.

Over two years, you will move between four 6-month rotations, designed to accelerate your development and understanding of McLaren's global commercial operations and support your progression into a permanent role within the business.

This is an on-site role that will enable you to work closely with teams across our Commercial organisation and build relationships with colleagues from across the wider business.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial Graduate, you will be immersed in three core functions - Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales - through four 6-month placements. Your rotations will be drawn from a range of teams across the Commercial function, which may include Sales Reporting & Insight, Product & Pricing, Regional Operations, Marketing, Aftersales Business Development, MSO and Motorsport. These placements will enable you to build your commercial awareness, analytical capabilities and customer engagement skills, with real ownership from day one.

  • Sales:
    • Turn global sales, retailer and market data into the insights used by executives, shareholders and regional teams—including management dashboards in Power BI and the monthly commercial performance pack.
    • Gain exposure to product and pricing strategy, competitor benchmarking, volume and market planning, and how McLaren products are positioned and commercialised around the world.
    • Support our regional team across Europe, analysing retailer performance across Sales, Network Development and Aftersales, and seeing how central strategy is delivered to our retailer network.
    • Experience the bespoke side of the business with McLaren Special Operations and Motorsport, supporting event delivery, commercial reporting and the progression of individually commissioned customer orders.
  • Marketing:
    • Contribute to global campaign strategies across digital, experiential, and brand and lifestyle marketing.
    • Support launch readiness, product positioning, and brand storytelling in line with McLaren's premium identity, coordinating content and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects.
    • Gain practical experience with CRM activity, retailer marketing initiatives, and data-driven tools such as SEO/SEM and social media analytics.
  • Aftersales:
    • Support the lifecycle of McLaren vehicles through our global aftersales strategy, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Help develop new digital customer solutions, such as the Direct Sales Portal and the McLaren App, alongside our Aftersales Business Development team.
    • Work on strategic projects spanning service programme planning, parts logistics and ownership experience, collaborating cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, IT and external partners.

Alongside your rotations, you will take part in structured learning, development workshops and innovation challenges. You will receive regular feedback and support throughout the programme, helping you build your leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
