Overview

Purpose of the role: Support the effective and efficient management and delivery of projects.

Your key activities will include:

Project delivery (research support)

  • Involvement in activities supporting the delivery of literature reviews in collaboration with the project teams
    • Developing data extraction forms and templates for literature reviews
    • Screening abstracts and full-texts
    • Extracting data
    • Summarising data trends and sharing these within team meetings
  • Supporting the preparation and quality assurance of project deliverables:
    • Set up of deliverable templates according to client specifications and style guides
    • Create visuals in PowerPoint, redrawing charts, figures and tables, creating pivot tables and charts in excel
    • Create and check reference lists, create libraries in reference management software(Endnote)
    • Review deliverables prior to sending to client to ensure they are free from formatting, typographical and spelling errors
  • Uploading documents to client systems ensuring compliance, adherence to standards, completion of required training, liaison with client
  • Conducting activities related to Adelphi PROVE™ proprietary digital tools
    • Uploading information
    • Development and assigning of appropriate tags/search terms and templates
    • Training other team members on use of the tool and reviewing their work

Project and financial management

  • Developing, maintaining and updating project timelines for assigned projects
  • Generating reports from internal management information systems and summarising data in excel
  • Critical assessment of ways of working and implementation of revised processes or procedures to support efficient working

Your background will include:

Qualifications / skills / experience

  • Degree level education; (scientific subject beneficial but not essential) (Essential)
  • Excellent standard of written English. (Essential)
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel. (Essential)
  • Experience of working in a similar project coordination, financial administration or research assistant function. (Preferred)
  • QC / editorial reviewing experience. (Beneficial)
  • Experience of using on-line scientific databases and/or project management tools. (Beneficial)
  • Experience of using reference management software. (Beneficial)
