Thank you to the Taylor Airey team for supporting me throughout my 12 month industrial placement. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as an analyst, gaining experience in solving transport related issues with my colleagues. It has been a pleasure getting the opportunity to work and support the consultants, and contribute to the success of the company.
Working here over the past year has been extremely insightful as I have learnt so much about the rail industry, the challenges it faces as well as prospects for innovation and development. By being thrown straight into assignments, I was given several valuable opportunities to develop myself professionally and personally. During the many rail adventures I've embarked on, from working on client's sites to attending industry events, I have expanded my professional network and met some interesting individuals who I continue to learn from.
This placement has inspired me to continue developing the skills I have learnt throughout the year and seek new and exciting opportunities in the future where these skills can be applied. I now look forward to returning to university to complete the third year of my degree, and commence my final year project inspired by my time with Taylor Airey.
