Joining Tetra Tech as a graduate is more than starting a new job – you’ll become part of our Next Gen Talent development programme, designed to support you as you build your career with us. Alongside hands-on experience and exposure to real projects, you’ll benefit from a structured programme of regular learning, training and development opportunities, helping you grow your technical and professional skills as you progress.
You’ll be supported throughout your development by experienced colleagues, giving you the opportunity to learn, build your network and develop the skills and experience needed for a successful long-term career with Tetra Tech.
Build your career on projects that help regenerate land, protect communities and support a more sustainable future. At Tetra Tech, you’ll work with experienced specialists on challenging geo-environmental projects while developing the technical skills, practical experience and professional confidence to succeed.
As a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will join our Geo team, delivering geo-environmental consultancy services supported by in-house ground investigation expertise. You will work across contaminated land, site investigation, groundwater, environmental due diligence and advisory services for clients in sectors including property and regeneration, defence estates and transport.
You will support the design, procurement, supervision and management of geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations. Your responsibilities will include desktop studies, accurate collection and analysis of site data, ground gas and groundwater monitoring, assessment of findings and preparation of detailed technical reports. This is an excellent opportunity to gain varied project experience and progress your career across a diverse portfolio of work.
You will have, or expect to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree in geology, engineering geology, environmental science or a related subject. Enthusiasm for geo-environmental consultancy, strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills, and a commitment to learning are essential. Relevant experience, such as a work placement, is desirable. You will also need a full driving licence and ideally access to a vehicle.
Based in Belfast, you will work across office, project and site environments, with travel to client and investigation sites required. Hybrid working is available; however, as a graduate, you will spend more time in the office initially to support training, mentoring and your development. Greater flexibility may be available as your knowledge and confidence grow, subject to project and team requirements.
In alignment with the Equality Act 2010, we will make reasonable adjustments to support candidates and employees requiring additional arrangements. This could include adaptations to work schedules, training approaches, or the physical workspace. Please inform us if you need any accommodations during the recruitment process or in your day-to-day role.
