Job Description

Are you ready to put your studies into practice and make a meaningful contribution from day one? As an intern in our Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful execution of site-wide initiatives.

This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, gain valuable industry experience, and develop your technical and professional skills.

Organon is recruiting for a STEM student to join us by the beginning of August 2027 for 12 months for a student placement to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

This internship is a fantastic opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a dynamic, real-world setting while building relationships and learning from experienced professionals.

During your 12-month placement, you’ll be involved in:

• Assisting with project governance activities, including project reporting, risk management, action tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and support the successful execution of project objectives.
• Leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and ways of working across the engineering function.
• Supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of key engineering projects, ensuring milestones, budgets, and timelines are effectively managed.
• Ensuring full compliance with our company's policies, procedures, and global standards, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Currently studying a relevant degree (e.g. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering), entering 3rd or penultimate year, and returning to studies post-placement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and confident in both written and verbal communication.
• A proactive problem solver, eager to learn, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work on time.

Application Process Timeline Overview: 

Stage 1 – Submission of CV and Cover Letter. Candidates will be required to submit their CV and cover letter.

Stage 2 – Initial Informal Discussion (between 9th November 18th November 2026). Candidates will be selected and invited to take part in an initial informal discussion about the role, as well as an opportunity for you to find out about the company.

Stage 3 – Assessment Centre + Final Interview (Early December 2026). Candidates successful at stage 2 will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre, located on site at Cramlington. Candidates will spend a day at the facility, getting a feel for Organon as well as taking part in several activities including a site tour and a final interview.
