Responsibilities
Support the delivery of finite element analysis projects to agreed scope, timescale and quality requirements.
Assist with building, checking and running structural simulation models for stress, impact and related applications.
Interpret analysis results and contribute to practical engineering recommendations.
Prepare clear technical reports and supporting project documentation.
Work with senior engineers to understand customer requirements, load cases, material data and acceptance criteria.
Take part in technical reviews and apply feedback to improve analysis quality.
Develop capability in relevant CAE tools, analysis methods and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Degree at 2:1 level or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline ideally with a year of work experience.
Academic study or project experience with CAD or CAE systems.
A strong understanding of structural mechanics and materials and preferably an interest in stress and impact analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
Experience with LS-DYNA, Nastran, Abaqus, ANSA, HyperWorks or LS-PrePost would be beneficial.
