Job Description

Express your creativity by bringing your ideas to life within the Applications team. As an Applications Engineering Intern, you will be directly involved in helping to specify and develop products to meet our customers' needs.

Your contribution would include:

  • Carrying out complex calculations to determine product life and safety factors.
  • Contribute to internal and customer fault finding analysis.
  • Evaluation of internal and field test data.
  • Support engineering projects by determining customer requirements and carrying out specific analysis.
  • Developing internal applications using MATLAB app designer.
  • Working to continuously improve departmental tools, methods, processes, and documents.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you?

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in mechanical engineering or similar, with a predicted grade of 2:1 or above.
  • Experience in programming with MATLAB.
  • Strong grades in both mechanics and mathematics.
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics and hydraulics.
  • Enjoys problem solving and researching solutions for challenging problems.
  • Ability to take the initiative and set self-goals.
  • Developing innovative engineering solutions and confidence in delivering presentations.

This position will be reporting to the Applications Engineering Manager and working 37 hours per week.
