Esme has joined Blake Clough as a Power Systems Consultant. At Blake Clough, Esme works across a range of projects including grid connection due diligence, site feasibility studies, and capacity finding. Esme also has experience in Transmission based curtailment analysis and has experience using Python and DIgSILENT PowerFactory to undertake such studies. She has recently been involved in Innovation Projects and researching new ways in which Net Zero challenges can be realised.
Esme holds a first Class MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with Energy from the University of Sheffield. In her final year, she was awarded the ‘Moorside Energy Prize’ which recognises the best performing student in the Energy stream.
She has undertaken a range of projects investigating large scale battery storage, including feasibility studies and lab-based analysis into the sustainable production of materials for novel technologies. Her Masters project researched novel methods and materials for Aluminium batteries, and discussed the potential for these technologies to aid in larger scale applications such as grid levelling.
During university, Esme worked on the Sustainability Committee, running and promoting campaigns within the university to improve both individual and constitutional sustainable practices.
In her spare time, Esme enjoys spending time climbing, hiking and skiing.
