The Vacancy

Binnies an RSK Group company are looking for Placement Students to be based in our UK offices, working within our Delivery, Consultancy and Asset Management teams on UK Water projects.

Binnies treat each and every employee as an individual and will provide all relevant training, development and support so that you may further your engineering career whilst studying for your degree.

We are a diverse and energetic team, and you will play a key role in contributing to our team’s and companies’ success. You will be a valued member of our highly experienced and widely respected team at Binnies.

What’s more, you can work on exciting global projects regardless of where you are physically located. Whatever industries and technologies interest you, Binnies can get you there. You will also gain experience and expertise in all aspects of the UK Water Industry.

You will providing support to the team you are working within and will experience an authentic and ‘hands on’ year at Binnies. The role will be varied and will be mainly office based but may include some time on site. There will be the opportunity to provide input on jobs within other offices and there may be a need for some travel within the UK.

Essential Requirements

You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • Studying a degree in Engineering, an Environmental subject or Geography
  • An interest in problem solving.
  • Strong mathematical skills and an ability to use spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
  • Self-motivated and effective team player.
  • Interest in water, environmental and sustainability matters.
