Schneider Electric’s Level 6 Technical & Engineering (Electrical Technical Support Engineer) Apprentice Pathway offers the opportunity for Apprentices to work in the field of energy management and controls.

What Apprenticeship Opportunities does this Pathway offer?

Digital Energy Technical Apprentice (Chippenham, Travelling Appointment)

Undertake a 4-year programme where you will be provided with on-the-job training in energy management systems and software for buildings whilst working towards an Electrical Technical Support Engineer Degree Qualification delivered by the University of Warwick.

Field Services Representative Apprentice (National & Isle of Man, Travelling Appointment)

Undertake a 4-year programme where you will be provided with on-the-job training in upkeeping the maintenance of Schneider Electric's Secure Power Products whilst working towards an Electrical Technical Support Engineer Degree Qualification delivered by the University of Warwick.

Entry Requirements

This Pathway is open to applicants with 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and a STEM-related Subject at Grade 4/C or above and a minimum of 112 tariff points. Disciplines studied post-GCSE must include any Engineering or relevant STEM subjects (Physics recommended). In addition to the required entry tariff applicants must have also achieved an A-level in Maths at Grade B.

This Pathway also requires the holding of a valid UK Driving Licence.

Please note, Qualification Requirements can be ‘predicted’, however, must be ‘actual’ by the start date on September 2nd, 2024.

Desirable Skills

  • Interest in Electronics with a desire to fix and understand how these products work.
  • Willingness to learn electrical/electronic engineering skills and enjoy a challenge.
  • Ability to work with IT systems and learn new software packages.
  • Confident in asking questions.
  • Ability to work as a valued team member.
  • Desire to travel the UK and Internationally (as required)

Future Prospects

After completing an Apprenticeship, performance pending, Apprentices will successfully transition into a permanent position with the team/business they have worked in as an Apprentice.
