NETbuilder, in partnership with BAE Systems, is seeking curious, analytical, and technically minded graduates - particularly those from Physics and mathematically intensive STEM backgrounds - to join a growing team of engineers and software developers at the BAE Systems Manchester office. Before joining your project team, you will complete a 12‑week intensive training programme, starting September 2026 (subject to security clearance).
BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is a leading provider of cyber, intelligence, and security solutions for the UK Government and its trusted partners. Within this, the Wireless Products Team develops innovative, mission‑critical technology that blends high‑performance software, electronic engineering, signal processing, and embedded systems. Our work spans extreme environments - from deep underwater communications to systems operating in the vacuum of space.
Your training combines both technical depth and real‑world engineering practice, helping you transition from academic physics to applied engineering and software development.

Training is delivered partly remote and partly onsite. Upon completion, your placement will be at a BAE Systems office in Manchester.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must undergo UK Security Vetting. This process will begin during training.
