Graduate Engineer – Civil Engineering

The Graduate Engineer will provide pro-active support to the existing senior level engineering staff. You will take responsibility for delivery of design for key infrastructure projects for public and private sector development schemes. You will quickly have the opportunity to grow and expand your capabilities, potentially specialising in areas of interest to both you and the business.

  • Supporting the production of infrastructure designs including roads, drainage, utilities and public realm and a provision for all types and scales of development projects.
  • Work closely with the technician resource in the delivery of outputs to agreed deadlines.
  • Liaise with the design teams on active projects and to manage and procure deliverables on time.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, achieved within the last 12 months.
  • Experience in CAD preferable.
  • Previous work experience in an engineering design consultancy highly advantageous.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • The ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • A passion for civil engineering.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Evidence of being a strong team player who is also able to work independently.
