Our Projects

Below are just some of the projects we have worked on...

Station Hall, National Railway Museum, York

Station Hall was once home to York’s main goods station. It was built in the 1870s and was a working railway building into the 1960s. We were commissioned to redesign the lighting in the hall as part of a comprehensive re-displaying of the objects which include a wide array of locomotive vehicles and equipment including the most complete collection of historic royal trains and carriages.

Ocean Village Marina Development, Southampton

CBG were employed to deliver the building physics and sustainability for this new development at Ocean Village, Southampton comprising of a hotel, residential building with restaurant.

Chemistry Department, University of Warwick

Working closely with University of Warwick Estates, CBG designed complex M&E services to provide undergraduate teaching laboratories and research facilities for students. The installation comprised of a specialist teaching laboratory which included 42 low-face velocity (0.35m/s) VAV fumehoods (Waldner, Secuflow) and fully serviced furniture.

Thames Valley Police, London & South East

We have have been working very closely with Thames Valley Police Authority assisting the Property Services Department in providing mechanical technical support to their police stations within the Thames Valley Region for many years.

Westminster Cathedral, London

CBG LP have completed a major project, updating much of the interior lighting and controls. The new lighting scheme has also illuminated and enhanced the sacred artwork in the Cathedral, thereby helping to lift visitors' hearts and minds. In the three chapels at the East End the spotlighting has been replaced and dimmable controls added, the latter being an especially useful feature for the Blessed Sacrament Chapel when it is used for the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on weekdays.

St Pauls Whispering Gallery, London

As part of renovation works to install new safety railings to the famed Whispering Gallery at St Paul’s Cathedral, CBG Consultants was appointed to refresh the lighting to align with the new design. The world-renowned Anglican cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of London and the mother church of the Diocese of London. Found on Ludgate Hill – the highest point of the City of London – the architecturally beautiful cathedral was built by Sir Christopher Wren. It serves as a protected example of the unequivocal English Baroque Style. The Whispering Gallery sits 30m above the crossing of the nave. It is a circular walkway along the base of the cathedral’s dome structure, with views to the floor below.
