Mishcon de Reya LLP employs more than 1,400 people with over 650 lawyers offering a wide range of legal services to companies and individuals.
What we do has always been shaped by understanding and better still anticipating the needs, aims, and ambitions of our clients. From the very beginning – before we ever formalised it in words – we realised that business was personal. The result? A firm continuously driven by its entrepreneurial, tenacious and socially conscious spirit. One that has always embraced change to stay relevant and shape the future.
Today change is more than ever the theme of all our lives - politically, economically, commercially, socially, technologically, and environmentally. It is not just change. It is how, increasingly, these strands connect and converge.
So while rigour, agility and entrepreneurialism remain the hallmark of how we do things, we know that we need to continually re-shape our offering to deliver for the families and businesses that come to us. It means we are centred around three increasingly entwined and connected sectors: the Innovation Economy, Private Wealth and Capital, and Real Estate. (Of course, we operate expertly outside these sectors too.)
It is why we are known as a disputes powerhouse with a formidable firm-wide capacity for dispute resolution, and are located in key centres of innovation and capital including London, Cambridge, Oxford, Hong Kong and Singapore.
We have made substantial investments in supporting founders, tech-driven businesses, and the broader innovation economy. Our strategy includes developing the MDR Innovation Hub, expanding lawtech capabilities, and advising high-growth, venture-backed businesses – areas where technical expertise and data-driven problem solving are key assets. Our core practice areas increasingly intersect with intellectual property, deep tech, AI, and regulatory challenges, making STEM literacy a critical resource for legal teams. With the opportunity to work alongside in-house patent attorneys, Mishcon is the perfect firm for STEM students to start their career.
We have unveiled our new strategy for the next five years. In Vision 2030 (MV2030), we have identified three strategic sectors where we have heritage, expertise, a deep and wide client base, and which are areas of opportunity and growth: the innovation economy is one of these areas. The innovation economy is the engine of global growth, with interconnectivity between innovation hubs across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Cross-border IP, complex regulation, M&A, and the pace of technological change all drive demand for legal services that are flexible and forward-looking. STEM graduates will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, helping shape the future of industries at the intersection of law and technology. By 2030, our Innovation Economy offering will be truly sector-led, with deep domain expertise across next-generation technologies and industries. It will be integrated across key UK and international innovation hubs.
