“The BOC Graduate scheme spans across four years and each year you do a different placement in a new location, giving you the chance to try various areas of the business across the scheme.
Across the four years you’re assigned a buddy a few years ahead on the scheme to help you and a mentor within the company who supports you through the Chartership application process. So far, it’s been an interesting induction process of training and networking with various people within the business. We’re given several opportunities to visit various BOC sites and have been assigned fascinating projects for this year.
This scheme is incredibly helpful if you’re not sure what area of engineering you want to work in and, is also a great opportunity to ease from theoretical university education to learning on the job with practical examples and site opportunities. Not only are you assisted to continue learning across the four years of the scheme, BOC also help you achieve Chartership at the same time.
Everyone here is kind, open to questions and overall dedicated to help you fit in and understand what you’re doing. BOC uses their graduate scheme to assist you in becoming a well-rounded engineer with all the experience you need for Chartership and more.
